Jesus asked his followers to pray for those who mistreat them. Let us seek to possess the compassion of God as we make known our needs.
that he recovers his health and strength to lead the Church in the ways of the Lord.
that we may become a beacon of hope in a world crying out for compassion, justice and peace.
For those with power over war or peace,
that wisdom, discernment and compassion act as their guide.
For our young people who may be listening to God’s call to the priesthood or religious life,
that the Holy Spirit will guide them in discerning their way forward.
O God, merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in compassion, show us your love and grant our prayers. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
